Criminal Justice 1 (Pre-Law) #5330

Grades: 9-11 Credit: 1

This course of study is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in any field of criminal justice Many aspects of the criminal justice system will be examined including taw, constitutional applications, criminal procedures, law enforcement, corrections, ethics, and forensics, as well as opportunities in private industry. Students will be encouraged to explore their interests in criminal justice and examine and develop career plans and opportunities. 

CSI -Crime Scene Investigation (Criminal Justice 2) #5331

Grades: 10-12 Credit:

1 Prerequisite: Criminal Justice 1 #5330 and instructor approval.

This is the second in sequence and further develops the student in the exciting forensic sciences and procedures for crime scene investigations. Many complex sciences and higher order thinking skills are utilized. Regular crime scene exercises and labs are scheduled. The fun has just begun Students also attend related field trips.

Honors CSI-Crime Scene Investigation (Criminal Justice 2) #5331-2

Grades: 10-12 Credit: 1

Prerequisite: Criminal Justice 1 #5330 and instructor approval.

This class focuses on the same topics as the CSI- Crime Scene Investigation course; however, this class requires more reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills. 

Criminal Justice 3 #5342

Grade: 11-12 Credit: 1 each

Prerequisite: Criminal Justice 1 #5331 and instructor approval.

The final course completes a well rounded program of study for the second largest career field. Mock trials, court procedures, and a number of other legal and constitutional tasks are put into perspective. Students will also attend related field trips.

Dual Criminal Justice 3 #5342-2

Grade: 11-12 Credit: 1 High School and 3 semester hours of college credit

Prerequisite: Criminal Justice 2 #5331 and instructor approval.

The final course completes a well rounded program of study for the second largest career field. Mock trials, criminal procedures, corrections, court procedures, and a number of other legal and constitutional tasks are put into perspective.
