Groundbreaking Ceremony Marks the Official Start of Construction for Cumberland County High School's New Auditorium

After months of site preparation, the official ground-breaking ceremony for Cumberland County High School's new auditorium has finally taken place. In a Special-Called meeting held in April, the Cumberland County Board of Education approved a $10.8 million bid from Lee Adcock Construction for the project. It is estimated that the construction will be completed within 18 months.
Once finished, the state-of-the-art auditorium will accommodate 1,200 people and will be a separate structure, featuring a stage, costume changing rooms, and storage facilities. Unfortunately, due to its location partially on the parking lot, the construction has resulted in the removal of the tennis courts at Cumberland County High School.
